Azure Spa: My Honest Review

Let’s talk skincare! When I reached my 30s, I became passionate about taking better care of my skin. I literally cringe when I think of how I barely used products or did anything to my face during my 20s. As I started to wise up on the importance of skincare, I started educating myself by talking to estheticians about which products are right for me, and how I should take care of my skin. My skincare concerns are always centered around hydration, correcting some sun damage (ugh, high school life guarding), and age prevention. I am lucky and have fairly great skin- I don’t break out and have minimal signs of aging. However, products can only care you so far. Every few months, I am trying to indulge in a facial to help give my skin the boost it needs!

I was so excited when Azure Salon and Spa in Ballston invited me for a customized facial! I jumped at the chance to give my skin some love after a busy winter and spring. Azure is a new-to-me full service salon and spa located in Arlington. It has everything: laser hair removal, massages, botox and fillers, permanent makeup, facials, a hair salon, and lash/brow services. I try to keep my skincare game very natural, so a facial is the best way to heighten my everyday routine.

I am not lying when I say that this was the best facial I have ever had! The esthetician started by asking about my skincare concerns and did a quick assessment of what she recommended. I appreciate her time to first look at my skin and make suggestions based on her thoughts and my needs. As a result, I received a facial that gave me a little of everything: microdermabrasion, extractions, a chemical peel, dermaplaning, serums for hydration, and massage. The results left me glowing and my skin has never been smoother. The best part of a facial is that it allows your home products to fully sink in and your makeup to glide on naturally for weeks after. It truly was the best facial of my life, since it was full service and took care of everything. If you want to treat yourself to some much needed pampering, book yourself a facial at Azure.
