Everything I Read in July
This summer has been incredible! At times, it has felt fast-paced and busy in the best way possible as I travel to see friends and take advantage of every HH possible. However, there have also been a nice amount of quiet days to balance the frenzy, where I can sleep in, work out, run errands, catch up on TV shows, and read. It has truly been the restorative summer I needed!
Through audible and physical books, I enjoyed 6 books since we last checked in at the end of June. Surprisingly, I didn't fit in any beach reads this month, but I did enjoy three suspense books, two literary fiction books, and one contemporary fiction book. If I had to pick my favorite of these, hands down, I would choose All the Colors of the Dark. I purchased it on a trip last summer, but I did not get a chance to read it before returning to work, and then it collected dust on my nightstand for months. It was dark, twisty, and left me sad when it finished, because I loved the characters so much. I will give honorable mentions to Broken Country and The Lion Women of Tehran, which had incredibly rich stories in the literary fiction genre. I also have to mention that Count My Lies is going to be turned into a movie with Lindsay Lohan if you want to read it before it comes to screen! As always, I hope you find a book here to enjoy!
