My Morning Skincare Routine

Lauren in her 20s would not understand this post, because I barely used any product (gasp)! A much wiser and more knowledgable Lauren now cannot imagine a life without good skincare. Whether Gwenyth and the Goop movement is to blame, the topic of skincare feels to be one that we can’t escape in our “self-care eras.” After test trying so many products, I have found a great morning routine and line-up that needs to be shared. I promise, even if this process looks or sounds intimidating, it is NOT. I pride myself with getting ready and out the door in 20 minutes for work. So that should tell you, this is a low time investment routine, but it brings maximum impact! Let’s take a look at the products I use…

Beautycounter Countermatch Foaming Cleanser

It shouldn’t come as a shock, but the first step to any skincare routine is to clean your face, so it is a fresh canvas to absorb products! I love this cleanser by Beautycounter, because it develops a foamy texture and feels so silky on your skin. It also doesn’t feel like it strips my skin of all moisture while getting your face squeaky clean!

Pro-tip: Beautycounter offers a lot of sales throughout the year. Currently, they are offering 20% off. These sales are the time to stock up!

iS Clinical Pro-Heal Serum

I was dead when I saw Chrissy Teigen uses my same Vitamin C serum by iS Clinical! It solidified my purchase and its’ use. Vitamin C is a necessary step in my routine for several reasons. It is formulated to help with hydration, brightening, and reducing hyperpigmentation (aka sun spots). This former high school lifeguard needs all the help after years of skin damage. iS Clinical is my favorite, because it truly brightens my skin and feels so lightweight. My face just drinks it in!

Pro-tip: iS Clinical is a professional grade skincare brand, so it can be pricey! I always purchase on sites like Blue Mercury or Dermstore when they offer 20% off.

Saint Jane Luxury Beauty Serum

This was the missing product to my morning routine that I recently discovered! I have dry skin no matter what time of year it is. Even though I use a rich nighttime cream, I feel like my skin is always parched by morning. This oil just gives my skin the hydration it needs. I was initially worried that an oil might be too much for my skin and cause breakouts. Well that is not an issue at all! My skin absorbs and loves this product, leaving me soft, glowing skin. Admittedly, I do not have sensitive skin and I am not prone to breakouts, so it may be too much for you if those are true for your skin. However, in my experience, it truly just packs the hydration punch that my skin needs!

Pro-tip: This is the product that I would pay full price for no matter the cost. It just works! However, sites like Sephora and Revolve carry Saint Jane and you can always hunt for a deal.

Saint Jane Hydrating Petal Cream

I finish my morning routine off with Saint Jane’s Hydrating Petal Cream. This moisturizer is also lightweight and locks in moisture, but my favorite part is the incredible scent. I just look forward to it’s beautiful aroma! If you aren’t sold on its merits, the gorgeous packaging is another selling feature. I just love seeing that pink (barbicore) dispenser on my counter!

Pro-tip: Saint Jane is becoming one of my new favorite skincare brands. I truly believe the price justifies the product (amount and quality) and packaging!

I hope you discover a new product or brand from this post that will give your skin as much love as these give to mine! I know there are so many options out there and I have tried A LOT, but I wanted to highlight a few tried and true products that make my skin glowing each morning!

xoxo,

L
