Naghedi Tote Review
If there is one piece that gets me questions and compliments every time I take it out, it is 1000%, hands down my St. Barths Tote from Naghedi! This tote was purchased to take all my essentials to and from work, but it has quickly become a bag that I use for EVERYTHING. I purchased the large size (though it comes in 4 sizes) which allows me to use it for work, trips to the gym with my spin shoes, to run errands all over town, and its my favorite travel bag to hold all the essentials for the plane.
Yes, this bag is super useful and essential for life, but let’s get real…it gets stopped on the streets because it is cute as hell! Someone once asked me if it’s a Bottega. If you don’t know luxury brands, this is a high compliment being mistaken for a bag that costs thousands! Ok, let’s answer some questions about my tote. All these responses are based on the large size, so keep that in mind when you are looking for the right dimensions for you.
What are the dimensions of the large size? What does it fit?
The large St. Barths tote has the following dimensions: H 12”, W 22”, D 8” with a 7” handle drop. I initially ordered the medium size, but found it too small for my everyday needs. The large size is just perfect. When going to work, it fits my lunch bag, my wallet, a spare pair of walking shoes, sunglasses, umbrella, water bottle etc. On gym days, I can easily throw in my spin shoes and a package to drop at UPS while out on an errand. When I am traveling, it carries a crossbody bag, a book, a jacket, and all my plane essentials. It truly is the best for my needs.
Can you wear the large St. Barths on your shoulder? Is it comfortable?
Yes, absolutely! The tote easily fits on my shoulder and is super comfortable for walking. I actually take this with me on errands and I walk everywhere. The material is neoprene, so it is soft to the touch!
It is not designer, but is it super expensive?
The large St. Barth’s tote runs for $315. It is not cheap, but honestly, it is not unreasonable for a quality bag. When you consider the costs per wear, I think I have paid pennies for each use. What color is yours? Does it come in different colors and prints?
Mine is the color mink, and I just love the chocolatey color! It is a neutral that just goes with everything. The totes do come in several colors from black to olive green to lavender. They also now make it in several plaid options too. There is one for everyone!
Does it have a zipper or any compartments inside?
No, the bag does not have a zipper on top. However, I like that, because it makes it easy to get things in and out. It does not have any built in compartments or pockets, but it does come with a large zippered pouch that could also be used as a clutch!
Can it get wet? Is it hard to clean?
I wouldn’t bring it out in a rainstorm, but it won’t get hurt if it get some sprinkles or some water on it! I have not had to clean mine, and that is why I love the mink shade even more, but it is designed to clean gently with a mild soap and water if needed.
